The Painfree Foundsound Institute was founded on the back of the REFINERY STUDIO's & the Epoch Collective: 1991 to 1994 Arts collective & FM Radio electronic music shows. From that Pain was born & in 1994/5 Main$treaM had it's first recordings as THE REFINERY.
In 1996 a new beginning for Main$treaM A CD called Main$treaM Power. Media cut up's industrial or crap core jungle & hip hop. Pain was in Business. This Album featured "You Are Ugly" & the song "Main$treaM Power". You are UGLY is on the Terredatkill01 CD.
Main$treaM released It Is The Annoying That Defines The Normal in 1998. A cd done with Painfree artist: The Temple Vomit. A Main$ Vs Temple remix of CIVIL DISTURBANCE appears on a legendary first ever Elephant Trax release a CD Compilation: 'Food To Eat Music By' 1999 Brought: Sexy Songs & a spot on the hugely popular JJJ ABC MIX UP Radio CD Compilation with the Main$treaM track BIOMANIC. From here there was many high profile gigs, festivals, raves, performance spaces, radio & the audiences widened. In 2000 Main$treaM finally arranged a deal with MARK N of Bloody Fist Records in Newcastle to release the first PAINFREE FOUNDSOUND vinyl: Truck Drivin Muzak Volume 1. From that time on the relationship grew & all the vinyl discs up to PAIN 9 where done with Mark N & Soundbase Music in Germany. Main$treaM did one vinyl in Australia then a couple with TOOLBOX France but the relationship quickly disloved with Main$treaM complaining about creative interferance & closing the vinyl operation down.Mainstream Success Interview

Yes, it's true! The Painfree Foundsound Institute is now forever treasured in the Australian National Film & Sound Archives WE ARE IMMORTAL - how ridiculous! SO if for whatever reason the Institute goes away there will forever be a record of this monster.

What Time Is It?
In 2005 after many public "debates" online about proper genre` and no longer releasing strictly "shitcore" Main$treaM decided to invent a sub gebre` he called FAKECORE. The term is still being used by many people today but originates from Main$treaM & the Painfree Foundsound Institue.
